   Work has begun at the St. Joseph's and St. Paul's shelter sites, with work dates scheduled as follows:

• Friday, June 29, starting around 8 a.m., continuing Saturday, June 30, and Monday, July 2, (schedule contingent on city inspection), construction of office walls, St. Joseph’s Shelter, 1535 11th St. For more information, contact Al Hopp, 276-9398.



• Saturday, June 30, 8 a.m.-noon, St. Paul ’s AME site (former Good Samaritan Home) southeast corner of 9th & Forest . 30 individuals needed. Will continue demolition and prep work in the apartments and will haul junk and unused items from the basement for disposal. Bring work gloves and appropriate tools. Food will be provided by the St. Paul ’s congregation. For more information, contact Neal Meyer, 274-5632.



• Friday, July 6, Saturday, July 7, and Monday, July 9, starting at 8 a.m., St. Joseph ’s Shelter, 1535 11th, painting, ripping out old carpeting, preparing floors for new carpet, and other work to finish one room. Contact Pastor Bob Solberg, 270-8142, to connect to this effort.

   Enough donations have been collected to begin refreshment of both St. Josephs and St. Pauls facilities. Work will begin in early July, so watch for more information on how to volunteer to work. Although enough money is collected to BEGIN, there is NOT enough money to completed the projects. Please prayerfully consider how you might contribute funds to this project.

   When using the News Admin Tool, you can create, edit or delete news items. When items are edited or deleted the change is automatic and will be reflected in the sidebar.

Also, the "more news and events" link finally works. :)
